Dalal Berries!

We picked some salal berries and put them in our granola cereal for breakfast today! They are really good! My daughter made a pie out of them! In case you aren't familiar with salal berries, they taste like a mix between a blueberry and applesauce!

I love Salal berries, I grew up eating them and still do when I can get them.

Wild strawberries and the little wild blackberries are the best. Though the little low bush blue berries are fantastic too. Also the red huckleberries are great. Lastly there are many varieties of purple huckleberries worth a look too.
