I finally found a variety of dill, called Tetra, that is compact and seems adapt well to a small pot. The pot in the photo is only four inches in height.

I bought some Bouquet Dill seed years ago. Of course, the plants went to seed in my garden. I suppose it's still the same dill - the only one I've ever bought seed for ;).

The Cooks Garden claims that Tetra is also known as Dukat. I guess they might be right.

Jack, dill seems a bit prone to mildew in the garden. That disease can certainly be a problem in a greenhouse. Any trouble there?

Steve,

You are correct, Tetra and Dukat are the same. I am growing the dill indoors in an ebb and flow system with lettuce and chard, and I have never had any mildew indoors. There is a small ventilation fan running and the humidity is not that high.
