All of the bean plants (Scarlet Runner) that I planted now have holes in their leaves. Some of the holes look like they were clipped off the side, and some are straight through the leaves.

Are there any common diseases, bugs, or other pests that could do this?

Pictures available if necessary.

I don't know what causes that but I get it on my green beans every year! I spray them with a mixture of granulated garlic and cayanne pepper steeped over-night then strained thru a towel. Pour into a spray bottle and add some dish soap. I just wing it for he amounts as I have lost the recipe. Spray on and reapply every few days and after rain until the plants get bigger. This is a spray for aphids but seems to work on other bugs, too. I hope this helps!
