Do Emails Replace Thank You Notes?

What's worse is one of those custom picture cards with no message at all.
Really?? You couldn't even say "Hi, you don't deserve an acknowledgement, signed, Us"
Of course I realize that it's probably payback for the invisible greetings I send.
LOL

@thistlebloom , I have a friend who sends out birthday cards every January and writes a lovely note inside about how amazing it is that all of her friends were born in the same month and how lucky they are because if she had to remember dates all year nobody would get a card at all.

I might start doing that....

Why I love smart phones. Can set reminders, etc. then text congrats. If close friend, call them as well.

For those i don't, mass Xmas letter is fine.

I keep telling my DH this. Amazing how that works. He's the one with the iPhone5. (I have an old "dumb" phone and that works for me. And a dayplanner.) He gets mad at me if he misses his mom's b-day or such. I tell him hey, I can only nag so much!

Could just put important dates with repeat and reminder on it for him for his b'day or Xmas gift.

Every January when she got a new calendar, my mother in law would put everyone's birthdays and anniversaries. She never forgot to call on that day.

My MIL and I used to make up and address cards for everyone's special occasions early in January. Then she tucked the stamped envelopes into pockets in her calendar -- already marked with all the important dates. When she changed the month, the cards were ready and waiting to be sent. Strange. Her I kept prepared. Me? I always ended up forgetting to send my cards.
