Dog Driving Me Crazy

Back in my kennel days we would occasionally have a 'pocket pooch'.
We'd take a dog that was acting like that and put them on a short leash that was attached to a belt loop. The dog would spend the day taking every step we took. After the first bit of confusion and stumbeling around, it worked nicely. And the person who got 'stuck' to them got 'light duty' for the day.

Sorry you got stuck with the "needy" dog. We left our dogs at the vet for a week once, came back to a weiner dog that had barked herself hoarse. She refused to eat, drink, she grieved and barked until she lost her voice. We felt terrible and just sucked it up and took her with us after that.
