The Hereford bulls were what I had to stay away from on the farm. Cows can have different personalities. A few were somewhat dangerous just because they feared people or didn't really like them. Bulls were always asserting themselves.

In my dream, the bull was fairly young and not full grown. I thought that I could move him out of the herd there in the corral and back where I wanted him just by jumping on him and hitting him with my fist. Get him the hell outta there!

DW climbed out of bed and I woke up to her leaving the bedroom, migrating to the other bedroom after complaining about me hitting the bed. Awake, I apologized immediately.

This time of year, we are inclined to think of people who have been lost to us, of times past. Writing Christmas cards, that is where I was before going to bed.

Up this morning, the first thing I read was a poem by a woman. She was writing about sitting on the porch after dark, watching the moths fly about. So trivial. On the same webpage, a picture of a guy with a cigarette in his mouth pretending to be lifting heavy weights that might have weighed all of 10 pounds.

I turned to something else, something funny. First joke, the question: "Why do bulls make such terrible salespeople? . . . . They charge too much."

Well, that is likely true for the clients but the big shots in the corporate board rooms may have a different opinion.

And then, I see the photo in @baymule 's morning post!

Immediate thought was rescuing the Hereford bull as a young teenager from a barb wire/woven wire fence –– by myself. It was tough. His nose ring was involved!

I had to keep thinking how I would jump through the fence into the other field if he was loose and then turned on me ...

He just acted "free at last, free at last" and ran off.

I had an interesting dream this morning. I woke up and thought, "that was so realistic but totally unlike what is the normal way things happen. So different but maybe it could work like that. I just don't know ..."

Thirty minutes later, I was trying to remember what it was and didn't even have a glimmer of what that dream was about.

there are some dreams that i've never forgotten and then most of them fade as soon as i get on with the day. at one time i was writing down the more interesting ones because they could have been parts of a story or a play.

the dream within a dream cartoon is very fitting for one of the dreams from 1983 because i had to wake up three times before i was all the way back out.

Liniers comics often feature the ocean and the little girl reading books.

"...they could have been parts of a story or a play."

A couple of weeks ago, Liniers was on Poe's A Dream within a Dream (LINK).
