Ducks ALIVE in 2025!

This is our sinful indulgence for Christmas - I never cook it outside of the holiday season, mostly because there is literally no food in it, just pure sugar and GMO cornstarch! Lol But DD just loves lemon anything so this is her special treat.

if she likes lemon there's a version of lemon cake that we make fairly often. take your favorite lemon cake box mix, add a package of instant lemon pudding, replace some of the liquid with lemon juice, bake, glaze with lemon icing (powdered sugar, lemon juice and bits of lemon zest).

@digitS' , walnut roll tastes NOTHING like cinnamon rolls.
You can order it shipped to you. You should try it.

I've never tried pudding. I wonder what it's like. She just made lemon poppy seed cake using almond flour the other day actually (no curd was involved though). I don't feel guilty letting her eat cake when I know it's made with nuts, eggs and maple syrup.

Reminds me of the cinnamon rolls my mom made on the farm. We had walnut trees. Big, productive English walnut trees!

I suppose one might call it my first job — cracking walnuts and selling them to the store in the nearby community :). But, I also cracked them for Mom. When I first had a cinnamon roll from a bakery and learned that everyone didn't fill them with walnuts, I don't know :).

I remember living in northern CA sitting in the family room with my parents watching TV and cracking so many walnuts!

My two boys sunning themselves on a warmish Fall afternoon. Look sharp, to the right of the barn flanking the dirt pile by the back fence.
