Here are the rest, including the tractor work, although it wasn't very heavy, just helpful, and the new hay stacked, 2 shots for reference. You can see the 60+ bales of 2024 straw that wasn't used. Next year will be different...

It's important to have a good place to sit up there.

But, wouldn't a hay bale be good enuf for that? How 'bout it you put an empty burlap bag over it to make it more comfortable? Oh forget all that, you had that surgery and extra comfort needs to be afforded .

We put that chair up in the loft. We had two of the same, DD's had sat too many times cross legged, so the webbing was knocked out. The other died--this one survived and YES, I do take breaks in that chair!

Going through the greening up tomatoes. ALL of these were bright green one week ago, now needing to be eaten/processed. The big ones I got for freebies at the farm stand. The small ones I grew. Equally delicious.

We had last of the season BLT's Saturday night--SOOO Yummy!
Today I cut and started dehydrating what hadn't been eaten. I have some that will be ripe enough for burgers on Wednesday. You will notice imperfections. I cut around them for dehydrating. Don't want to waste Any.

I've been B.U.S.Y.
DH is now in physical therapy. Making progress, BUT, too much sitting and not enough walking, so more work for Duckums!!
The list of number of people to whom I would fetch and carry stops at one hand.
DH knows that he is Privileged, so I get to make more decisions like how to park his car in the garage...stuff like that.
At the office currently, waiting for DH to finish. He DOES work hard.
Anyway, here's a picture of cut cherry tomatoes that I dehydrated in October 28th.

DH took a fall Monday night, hit his head, went to PT and therapist told him that he should get a CTScan bc he is on a blood thinner. 2 MRI's later and he has a brain tumor that is fatal. His Neurosurgeon recommends a biopsy and 6 weeks of chemo and radiation treatment. DH saw his sister go through this when she was 16, and she survived Hodgins disease, but the treatment was horrible.
I thought his issue was being too sedentary, but it looks like the tumor has been causing these problems for the past 6 weeks.
He is not unhappy. Family is all getting together for a deep clean and purge weekend of the 15th.
Not dead yet, and I expect he'll be around for at least the next 6 months.
Our good friend is an ICU nurse, same hospital and is sending me links to palliative care, so I will need to make and appointment and talk to them about home care.
NOT going to a nursing home. That would kill him in a month.

Not going to a nursing home is a golden decision.Those places are dangerous in so many ways. Been there done that. So I want you to know how proud of you I am . For your decisions , beautiful soul and attitude. This is the same thing my DH and I talked about. We promised each other we wanted to stay home during the end of life never a nursing home. And that is what we did. I was his advocate and care taker for several years. He passed last Feb. I know how difficult this situation can be for families it’s part of life and the acceptance of the challenges life brings.

OHMYGOSH....I'm so sorry. I'm just devastated for you and your DD's and him.
