Do you have any? And why do you like it? I have some black beaut seeds that I am going to start this summer but I have a second warm season in August that I wanted to plant a different variety. Thanks

I've tried planting 2 different kinds inside to get them going... both failed...

Sorry I wish I was helpful... hopefully some will respond soon. I'm wondering myself what I did wrong!?

Last year on a whim we tried "Ichiban" an Asian type, long and slender. They were absolutely delicious brushed with oil and grilled, and the plants were really stunning too with bluish green leaves and purple stems. Prolific as well.

We found them as plants at our local nursery, but we loved this varierty so much I may try to find it as seed to start my own this year.

I've never found a variety I didn't like--Fat and purple, long and white, purple-and-white striped, bright yellow. They really all are great. The shape and size may naturally lend themselves to some recipes better than others. Good luck!

I'm attempting some store bought seeds this year, a big very dark purple sorta fruit according to the packaging. I tried the same last year but well, i was green, my thumb was not. My chickens didnt help at all either. I'm having a lot more luck this year. Even planting certain things directly in the ground is getting results.

I'm growing an eggplant variety called 'Prosperosa' its a hierloom from Tuscany. Looks to be a great variety ,last year i tried 'Rosa Bianca' it had a bitter-free almost creamy taste i enjoyed eating that one.

have never been an eggplant fan. We didn't eat it at home when I was young and I guess I just never developed a taste for it.
What do you do with it besides eggplant parm?

Treat it like zucchini if you want. I like to quick fry and eat.

There is a greek dish call babaganoush? It is basically roasted and pureed. really good though.

Ok so I got krazy and ordered some Rosa Bianca eggplants from SSE. Hopefully I can actually save some of these seeds!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
