What a wonderful tradition, and a beautiful family! Thanks for sharing that! Cool old grinder, we use an antique hand crank grinder, I've never seen an electric one like that. Plum jam is SO good!

Sweet family you have Nifty! What a wonderful way to spend time together, and every time you open a jar you'll remember the fun you had.
My folks made homemade root beer that was timed to be ready at Christmas. We didn't do it for enough years to become a real tradition, but enough years that I remember it with fondness.

Family tradition--home made eggnog at Christmas. My great grandmother made it on Christmas day, then my grandmother, then me. My non-drinking family thought it was OK for the little kids to get snockered on eggnog for some strange reason.
