Father's Fig Tree

My father has or had a fig tree that used to over winter with no protection zone 5. i went down to get cuttings for members here, all branches where dead. This happen once before after really bad winter, tree regrew from roots. Hoping this is the case, if tree comes back will mail out cuttings.

I'm waiting to see if my fig survived too. It was carefully wrapped even. It was just such a cold winter. I've noticed a lot of things have died that used to overwinter, even much of my BIL's stand of bamboo, which you'd think was indestructible! I lost my butterfly bushes the year before. Those couple of weeks of sustained temps below zero were too much for them, I think.

I hope that tree comes back for you Nyboy. I know how much it means to you and was also very tasty! It just gives me more time to find a nice pot. ;)
