Oh, are you talking about being "olde?" I guessed that you weren't hurt because of your later posts ... now, don't go out, fall down and wet your pants ...
They sayyyy, that we are as old as we feel. What the heck does that mean? Are you old if you have joint pain, difficulty moving and you are only 7 or 8?
I think constantly about how I am moving. I can't lift my left foot ... I can lift the leg. I can lift both legs but they aren't strong. Pain comes fairly quickly from sitting. The body feels better if I get up and move!
I had a "wellness" checkup last month and was asked how often I fall. "About 3 times a year." "Maybe you should have a leg brace." I had one once but if you want muscles to atrophy, put a limb in a brace. I realized that I'd soon need to use it even indoors - I do have
some muscles!
I once answered that I fall about monthly. When the nurse freaked out, I decided I'd have to slow down or carelessness might turn me into a paraplegic! I pay careful attention to the terrain and, you know when I usually fall? When there is no good reason for it! Fortunately, that means that there usually isn't anything for me to fall on and, other than getting tangled up in my arms and legs, I am not likely to injure myself.
Yay!
Forgetfulness?
What? Okay, I question every mistake, every false start, every failure of memory - as a sign of aging. Luckily for my mental wellbeing, I've always been forgetful and easily distracted.
