Fire Piston

We made those when my son was in the Boy Scouts. Some worked well and some not so good. The boys seemed to like charring the cloth more than making the fire pistons.

I have made a couple of those. I connot get them to work consitantly not sure why. Maybe I should add the second o ring to them.

The are very interesting, I could have use them when I spent days and days up at the small lakes.

Collector, Yes, maybe a second O-ring, They actually work like a diesel engine, using compression to produce heat. I just became aware of them.
