Freezing potatoes and other things

i think they are pre-cooked to some extent.

i don't really like the texture of potatoes cut into chunks and cooked in soups and then frozen, but if you get the soup hot enough again they are not too bad, mashed potatoes work a lot better.

overall though they are not things i do often but Mom adores mashed potatoes with things so we have portions in the freezer.

pasta seems to work the same way. not my favorite thing from the freezer either, but i'll still eat it. lasagna, on the other hand, tends to come out so well that i don't mind it at all.
