It seems funny to me that artists have jokes about artists! But, then again ...

Here's another Piet Mondrian painting:

Ha Ha :D!

it's incredible that some of us as kids probably drew some things that looked a lot like that...

so that just goes to show that almost every child has that sort of potential and why each of us is precious.

ok, now that i have that hallmark card moment written down we can get down to brass tacks... or perhaps in these times silver and gold tacks? ...

do you have any of your early childhood drawings or writings?

almost every child
I may fall into the exception 🤷‍♂️.

There seems to be no memory of any artistry. Practical objects were made in woodworking class. I took no elective art classes other than music. Imagine, someone with hearing loss from the youngest age ...

Creative writing was a possibility, I suppose. I certainly appreciated art, including that by wordsmiths. Curiosity yes.

I was watching a motion picture writer/director on an episode of Finding Your Roots — great big ego, I thought! His responses were as though he wanted to discount those individuals in his ancestry and rewrite the entire history.

I'm sure that all creative people are not like this. Reading a little about the life of Mondrian, shakes my confidence about that, however :D.
