Mom and i are still laughing...

one of her friends on the edge of senility was trying to get ahold of another also well along that edge. could not get through all day, phones are busy and often lost so they can't find them. finally got daughter on cell phone to call and get through so she could call. gets answer, talks for a few minutes, then other person says, "I don't want to talk I've got donuts here to eat." *hangs up*

these are all old friends who've known each other 50-60yrs. they've played poker once a month most of that time. the one who wasn't able to contact has stopped playing because she can't follow the game any more and doesn't want to show up and hang out. so recently Mom is starting to visit her once in a while to give her hubby a break so he can do something else.
