So my hubby tells me this weekend that the garden isn't big enough. 6400 square feet isn't big enough?!?!? He's decided that he needs to add at least another 3200 square feet to it, maybe double the size. :th
He's also decided that we will plant watermelons, honeydew, and corn in this garden addition, which he and the kids will sell this summer. I guess I won't complain too much, he'll be doing the tilling and preparing. I will have to plant it and keep it weeded, watered, and harvested though...

We have a 2800 foot garden, and I'm in fear of the weeds! I can only imagine what kind of effort a garden that size will take. If this one goes well, we might add something to take to farmer's market next year, but WOW, a 10,000 foot garden is an awesome responsibility!

All I can say is that it is a good thing you have some cheap labor at 11 and 9 years old to help you. Just think of the fun they'll have helping you weed it!!! And the fun you'll have supervising!!!

I think I'll quit while I'm behind. :hide

Mama Chicken, if he thinks your garden is too small, I wonder what he would think of mine? :/ I think I have the smallest garden here in TEG!

Mary, I bet you have

less weeds than

99.9% of us.

:lol:Steve, you are right. In fact, there is not a single weed! My preschoolers look for them every day to feed to the chickens. My garden is pristine!
