I came across this in one of my emails.

THE GARDEN
===========

Come to the garden alone, while the dew is still on the roses...

FOR THE GARDEN OF YOUR DAILY LIVING, PLANT THREE ROWS OF PEAS:
1. Peas of mind
2. Peas of heart
3. Peas of soul

PLANT FOUR ROWS OF SQUASH:
1. Squash gossip
2. Squash indifference
3. Squash grumbling
4. Squash selfishness

PLANT FOUR ROWS OF LETTUCE:
1. Lettuce be faithful
2. Lettuce be kind
3. Lettuce be patient
4. Lettuce really love one another

NO GARDEN IS WITHOUT TURNIPS:
1. Turnip for meetings
2. Turnip for service
3. Turnip to help one another

TO CONCLUDE OUR GARDEN WE MUST HAVE THYME:
1. Thyme for each other
2. Thyme for family
3. Thyme for friends

Water freely with patience and cultivate with love.
There is much fruit in your garden
Because you reap what you sow.

That is sweet JoJo, :hugs!

Not in the same spirit at all -- I offer a Christmas carol. You will quickly assign the music even if you do not recognize the words. I have looked for these particular lyrics but haven't turned up every leaf . . . as far as I know . . . the author is also unknown (and probably wishes to remain so :/):

Cabbage Worms are Comin' To Town

You better watch out
You better inspect
With their camouflage
Theyre hard to detect
Cabbage worms are coming to town!

Im lifting each leaf,
And checking it twice;
I really doubt those black specks are from mice.
Cabbage worms are coming to town!

White butterflies were pretty
A-flitting round my crop
But now those green worms chew and eat
And it seems theyll never stop!

Cruciferae sprouts and Brassica leaves
It matters not to these little thieves
Cabbage worms are coming to town
Cabbage worms are coming to town

White butterflies were pretty
Shouldve read my garden tome
If I had only known they would
Call my broccoli their home

You better wash well
You better rinse deep
You never can tell
To where they might creep
Cabbage worms are coming to town

Ooh, you might hear a shout
You might hear a scream
If your veggie side dish
Has "extra protein!"
Cabbage worms are coming to town
Cabbage worms are coming
Cabbage worms are coming
Cabbage worms are coming to town!

Mary, I did write a poem several months ago about garbage collection day.

It is quite solemn and serious.

After our legislature acts and we have an appropriate holiday for commemoration, I would be willing to post it.
