so I'm looking for a soft neck variety to grow here in Missouri. I generally order through Territorial Seed Company, the new seed catalog came in today and I'm having trouble choosing. They don't list a zone preference for the varieties.

The garlic I grow here in MO comes from the grocery store.
I just buy whatever they sell in the produce dept, break it apart and stick each one in the ground, and away we go!!!

the stuff you get in the grocery store is softneck garlic & tends to do better in warmer growing areas, they will be good for braiding. it will grow! i suggest dipping the cloves in vodka or alcohol before planting just to get rid of any possible fungus that could inhibit the growth.

i've used the site, listed below, in the past to lookup different types of garlic to find something that will work in my area. some years different garlic will do better than others so i keep a variety of softneck & hardnecks. i haven't tried the 3 you listed through they are easy to get in my area.
