Many times I try to think of something unusual as a gift I have found a fun thing that can be done if you have a good photo editing program or a scrapbook program.

You buy a magazine or softcover book with a person on the cover, that is of interest to the person you are wanting to give a gift.

Then put them on the cover! I just changed the faces of the people on these covers.

It is my son, with his youngest son on the giant pumpkin.

Then one of my other grandsons wants to be an astronaut so I found this space magazine for him.

Sorry it has nothing to do with gardening... I do have one grandson that wants to be a farmer though.

I love giving books as gifts and this way it makes it very personal.

One tip, before cutting out and gluing the face or person on the magazine cover, use a fixative on the print that way it will be water proof, and a bit glossy to match the magazine cover.

That's a really cool idea! I like them both, but the astronaut just really appeals to me, and looks professionally done!

Thanks so much; I enjoy making gifts for people too! :)
