I was thinking that the Derrière, a Deerhound/terrier cross, might be a dog that one would only see from a rearview.

Either they are racing ahead and disappearing or they have found something in the ground worth digging out for hours at a time ...

My little old guy had bronchitis then a gum infection followed by a bad hit of severe arthritis.
Here he is on recovery, yogurt fixes everything

Pictures from December 2020. A rat snake was sunning and Paris found it. End of snake. She stalked and killed copper heads too.

Paris sure hated snakes! She literally shook them to pieces, then killed each piece over and over until she was worn out.
