Got an idea! Chicken run + compost pile together.

it is quite a good-sized setup. I used to have up to eight chickens in it at one time, but currently am in the process of starting over.

Those piles keep their feet out of the mud when it's been raining a lot, too.

So you would throw the compost in, let the chickens at it, then rake it up at put it in a compost pile (with the wonderful chicken poo)? The benefit is that the chickens get to eat, and they tear it up for easier composting?Is that right?
