Our farm, and our neighbors farm, are being completely invaded. I took these photos today, in the yard next to the house. They're even worse farther from the house. I could just die.

Oh, Miss Daisy- that is too awful! Your gardens were looking so beautiful. Is there nothing that can be done?

I had serious problems with grasshoppers last year due to our drought. My garden was the only thing watered in this valley so if anything wanted to eat something green, it came here. Since they were concentrated here I expect a concentrated hatch this year. I havent seen any yet but its time for them to start hatching.

Ive ordered this stuff. Its not BT but works about the same way, just on grasshoppers. It sure is not cheap either.

Well at least the chickens and ducks will get too feast. Can they help gaurd the garden?

Even that stuff doesn't sound very hopeful, does it? Miss Daisy, do you have chickens?
I look at it like most organic solutions. They don't totally clear the earth like a nuclear explosion but they help reduced the damage. I'm willing to give it a try instead of using a scorched earth approach and spray insecticides everywhere and affecting everything including the good guys.
