Bay you might want to look into it. i remember reading in AKC Gazette they felt hunting dogs in areas with high snake numbers get it.

Yes cat I remember thinking if they have it for dogs and horses why not people?

I guess realistically a dog or horse are more likely to get bitten than a human is, and then of course they can't tell the vet what it was... rattle snake, cotton mouth, copperhead? A vaccine makes sense.

They have a vaccine for dogs for Lyme disease and not for people. There was one for people but it was discontinued.

Lyme"s vaccine doesn't work I can name 20 dogs vaccinated and still came down with it.

I still get the shot. That was why they discontinued it for humans I think. I have had LD multiple times and would not wish it on my worst enemy.
