Green bean woes

I didn't know pill bugs caused a problem. I though they ate decomposing material. I have lots but they don't cause a problem.???

I didn't know pill bugs caused a problem. I though they ate decomposing material. I have lots but they don't cause a problem.???

I have unpotted potbound plants to find that pillbugs, still present, had eaten out big holes in the root system where the pot's holes were. They do eat decomposing material, but I guess they won't turn their nose up at a juicy young root, either.
Moxie, I had to fence in my garden to keep the chickens out. I don't think it would take a very sturdy fence, now that I have put up a sturdy one!
