Garden Master
I have a greenhouse in a box - but, this is something else.
Yeah, a few years ago, I bought a small, polycarbonate greenhouse - it is still in the boxes that it came in. They are cardboard boxes.
It was a "clearance sale" so the price was good for this little greenhouse. My idea was to put it either in my dad's backyard or at our large veggie garden. Problems: the large veggie garden was so distant that I figured I wouldn't be able to be out there often enuf to tend it. Moved it to Dad's backyard but still didn't set it up. Dad seemed less than enthusiastic by the prospect of keeping an eye on it. His home was even further than the veggie garden . . . then, Dad moved. No, I don't think he moved to get away from that greenhouse! I mean, it was still in the cardboard boxes it came in
.
Anyway, my idea at the veggie garden was to put it in front of and attached to - a shed . . . of course, I'd also have to build the shed :/.
Construction wasn't a big problem but I just couldn't commit to it . . . 20 miles is a long way to drive to try to tend a greenhouse full of plants! Heating & cooling could be a BIG problem! The idea with the shed was that this larger volume of air would moderate the temperatures better than just a small, free-standing greenhouse. It should take longer to cool overnight & longer to become too hot, during the day
. I even gathered some of the building materials until I realized I'd be sinking quite a bit more $$$ in this thing and still not know whether it would work without moving into it so that I could monitor the temperatures, 24/7!
Weeelllll, this would have been another way to do it!
Isn't that the darnest thing?!?!

. . . couldn't get Steve's other parts up out of the Lazy Boy this morning either!
