Happy Halloween

THAT'S how to make GOOD caramel apples!

This year we had ONLY 48 trick- or - treaters ... a mere 39% from last year. The last 2 groups came at 8:45 pm was a mom carrying 2 year old girl and leading a 3 year old boy . The last group that arrived at 8:55 pm were a young couple with a one year old girl pushed in a stroller and dad with a 2 year old girl also in a stroller. I think that we had such a low turn out due to light rain that started at 4:30 in the afternoon and lasted until 7:15pm. :caf

First time here. We went through three bags of candy, will get 4 bags next year.

They have an interesting custom here. Instead of leaving a light on and the kids ringing the doorbell, people sit on the front porch to hand out the treats. It might have helped here that at 6:00 pm it was 80 degrees and dry.

We don't have a trick or treaters dream neighborhood anyway. Dark gravel roads and lots of space between houses. Most people drive to town.

We had our usual zero. Yay.
Halloween is not a holiday I celebrate.

We are in the OLD part of town. Most families with kids live in the sub-divisions and stay there to trick-or-treat. Yep, Halloween is a holiday I really don't do anyway.
