I have Blue Jade corn tasseling right now. With just a few rows, I have been doing my version of hand pollinating the silks. So far they are looking good. The sweet corn was planted late and is growing overly tall for sweet corn -- unless this heirloom variety is just taller -- but has yet to start tasseling. Perfect! Just the way I planned to get pure seed for next year. All the neighboring corn fields are well past their fertilization period.
