I thought that this topic might be too much for me to look at . . . kind of right 
.
However, I have experienced Eagle, Colorado! I arrived there alone and unknown. Because it was a pleasant place, I decided to walk down by the river and sit on a rock, enjoying the water rushing by.
A local guy came by and started talking to me. It was getting on towards sundown and after awhile, he asked me where I would stay the night. I said that I hadn't any real plans and would probably just get back on the road but I had to be sure to turn south to Leadville.
He said that there was a lot of not much of anything between the highway and Leadville and it might be best for me to just stay in Eagle. He said, "I live in that house right over there and that geodesic dome is a guest house. Why don't you stay there tonight?" So, that's what I did - leaving at sunrise the next morning. I stayed a night in a geodesic dome on the river in Eagle.
