Can't grow either crepe myrtles OR azaleas where I live. We LOVE pictures, so post all you like!
I have kept chickens for about 8 years now, dual duty, and I also butcher my own. Right now I am keeping 5 EE's, two SLW's and 2 Dark Cornish roosters who are mean as dirt. I have to net them and put them in a rabbit cage whenever I need to clean the coop so I don't get attacked!!! When this batch has produced some chicks I am getting EE roosters. They are as mild as Buff Orpingtons.

My EE rooster flogs me every day. The only reason he's still alive is because I haven't felt like processing chicken. But his number is coming up.
