wtf the price has jumped to double of normal <normal was 22.99> now ranging from 45.98 to 49.99
for this...purolator f550055

no way in hell am i going to pay that..did some digging for the filter, on amazon for 28.15 with shipping.
heck yes told dw to order a couple next paycheck.....

lets face it the truck is 20 years old and have been using the same type of oil and filters the whole time..
i'm not going to start substituting, just because big business wants to charge more for their shareholders profit margin....

Ouch. I just had my oil done today. Price was $64.19 for royal purple oil and a K/N filter.

thats about normal 120.00 for a major oil and filter, now if you want to include the serpentine belt add another 30.00... thank goodness thats only every 27,000 miles..

have it down to a science.
7k oil and oil filter
14k oil, oil filter, fuel filter
21k oil,oil filter, air flter
27k oil,oil filter,fuel filter,belt

might sound a little anal and expensive, but with 400723 miles it only burns 2 quarts of oil between changes... plus still getting 18-19 mpg.. thats might change once i do a mpg with the new transmission to the plus side.

I bought my car to Honda for oil change. They said I needed other things I believe if memory right over $600. A filter I never heard of interior filter was $99. Now I go to one of the oil change chain places $69

that interior filter was probably a cab air filter.

someone has to pay for higher medical expenses, underfunded retirement plan liabilities and of course other higher insurance premiums...
