I'm trying to get some kale seeds from the local Mom 'n Pop but they don't have their new seeds out yet. They have not arrived yet and she dumped all of her last-year's seeds. I like to start chard and kale seeds around this time of the year so I have transplants ready as soon as the weather allows me to set them out. She expects her shipment next week.
I don't go to Home Depot, they are a lot further away than Lowe's. I've seen some old seeds at Lowe's, so again I'll say to check the date on any before you buy them. If they are stored properly most seeds can last for years but I'm not a trusting soul when it comes to trusting others to store them properly.
