Homegrown Herbal Tea

I still haven't ordered from Pinetree nor, for that matter, from Richters –– which arrived in the mailbox the other day. I may yet.

A friend visited the other afternoon and DW started to pull out bags of oolong. I had some chicory and dandelion root brewing on the stove and suggested a cup. He said, "Oh yes, Steve and his teas. I'll have that!" I'm beginning to have a local but humble pedestrian tea reputation. Both DD & DS gave me some tea blends for Christmas. Tasty!

I was reading about counselors suggesting ways to accept an unanticipated present and ready ourselves for an unknown future. Herbal tea is part and parcel to that for me :).

Our mint is only reaching harvest stage but I am not sure that I need more than what came off in '26. Mojito is in a very shady location and needs more days.

I probably should have left the anise hyssop alone but it was too tempting to have some fresh sprigs for a big mug this week 🥲. Some fresh lemon verbena could come into the kitchen at just about any time. The pots are outdoors now but had better be brought in for the weekend chill. With a little store-bought stevia, I'll be sitting pretty before much longer and the frozen packages can wait for the Autumn. Ha😜!
