Honda Wanted $250 For New Key

The days of having your car keys copied are over. The car keys now have a chip needed to start car. A copied key will unlock your doors but not start the car. When my friends Kristine key stopped working she assume it need a new battery and went to Honda. She was told she needed a new key, when informed price would be $250 she told them to kiss a part of her body and left. She was able to order the blank on amazon but could not switch chips. The guys at her local phone store where able to and charged her $75

That's what they wanted for my "clicker" to automatically open the door. Guy said they only last around 4 years. Told him I'd had it for 12. He was shocked. I said forget it. I'll use my key.

clicker is now part of the key.

LOL - lucky me... my newest is 1984 Blazer.
Could probably replace both keys (it has one for the door and one for the ignition) with screwdrivers.

Those 'phone store guys' are not human. They can just hold a phone in each hand and switch all the contact info, pictures, everything from one to the other... spooky.
