It is times like this when you wonder why you didn't marry a pastry chef! :/ My mom won't even bake cakes for my birthday anymore, yet I am always making tasty stuff for hers. Life is so unfair.

Well, I do all the baking around here... I want to be a pastry chef doing wedding cakes and custom cookies. However, I want someone to bake a cake for me on my birthday of all things!
(Which my birthday is monday btw.)
I just have this love of textures and flavors in large combination... and I could just pictures the flavors in my head, yes... this is the cake I want!
I'm kinda bummed that my husband has NEVER been able to turn the oven or stove on before in his life. Its really kind of sad! LOL

if I lived closer I would bake you a cake!
my husband has a large repertoire
he can make a perfect grilled cheese sandwich
his scrambled eggs are to die for
and he can grill a steak to perfection
that is it
expecting him to season with anything more than a few herbs salt and pepper gives him hives just thinking about it
a cake would send him right over the deep end!

Yes, it is too bad most men are lousy cooks. I too would love to bake a cake for any of you, because I know you would appreciate it! [HAPPY BIRTHDAY, VFEM!!!]
My husband is a descent cook, but he does not bake. :/ Well, in a pinch he would probably make chocolate chip cookies, but that would be the extent of it.
If I really want a homemade cake for my birthday, I usually do it myself. :/
