This topic is exactly why I popped into the forum before heading to bed...
Thought of him today while I fed the rabbits.
Sending healing, healthy thoughts his way...

Hope the surgery went well. Still trying to figure out why they had to shave him to preform heart surgery.... :/

Anyway, I'll pray for him.

Praying for Hoodat's recovery. :love
It's routine to shave before surgery so that no bacteria, etc. from the hair ends up inside the body cavity and causes an infection. Veteranians do it to dogs, cats, other animals before spaying and other surgeries, too, for the same reason.

My father-in-law had this surgery and I think he was in CCU for 4-5 days and then he had to go into the regular unit for a couple of days. It hasn't been long enough for Hoodat to check in yet.

Oh I see. I've luckily never had heart surgery.

Kinda makes me think someone should have tried to get an address (at least his real name!) before he went in for surgery. I know we maintain a level of privacy on a forum, but he has been here for so long and has so many friends---:fl Hopefully we will hear something soon!
