How are YOU Celebrating St. Patrick's Day?

... I'm hurt today.

Is it the braces again, @Polka_Doodle ? Sorry.

I really appreciate that the Irish say we can all be Irish today :). I would like every ethnic group to say that!

Of course, since I am almost every ethnic group, it probably isn't enuf for me to say it ;).

I tried to do a little recent genealogical exploration on the Riley who married the Indian lady (ladies). John Riley was a very common name in the US, even before the potato famine! I seem to have discovered his father's name was Samuel Riley but that takes it back nearly to colonial times ...

I did the traditional Irish (not) thing today and planted onion plants. Every year I am amazed at the amount and size of the roots I have to dig/cut/chop out of the garden. Those first couple days of garden prep do me in every year.

Worked outside tweaking my breeding pen, added a temporary run and a pop door, cleaned up some things, did a few chores and then came in to do a few more, but basically loafed the rest of the evening here on the computer.

Had salad but combated any healthy effects of that by eating a few chocolate chip cookies. Heading to the rack to sleep and, hopefully, get more done tomorrow than I did today.

No, I hit a rock with my scooter on Wednesday on my way home. I scraped my knee pretty badly and got a black eye

OMGosh! I thought that I was the only one with that problem! I used to leave them in but now I move them to the burn pile because they look like they will grow weeds. :sick

Ouch, @Poka_Doodle ! This will sound like those "lucky you" quotes: lucky you fell up the stairs instead of down, lucky you got this broken bone and not that broken bone, lucky you were attacked by Bengal tigers and not Grizzly bears ..! Begin to wonder how you got so lucky! Wait! That handle is taken.

Anyway, it must be lucky you didn't damage your teeth. DD wore braces for years and had surgery on her jaw. Twice wired her mouth shut, I don't like to even think about it . She's all better.

This morning it was 19°f. Today, we will put up the hoop house over two garden beds and move some some bok choy plants in there. What day do we celebrate Asia?! Starting some Portuguese kale, too!

Steve
