HUGE cucumbers

I didn't go to the garden for a couple of days, and have HUGE cucumbers. Since I don't like eating them this large, can I make them into pickles and have them turn out okay?

I thought I might try like a kosher spear? If anyone has a good recipe, please let me know!! I prefer cold pack.

Don't see why not. It will taste great next January, when you're not growing them.

If they're not bitter or pithy, I don't see any reason why not. Now when mine get huge and start to turn orange, I give them to the chickens. They love them!

Yeah, pithy is not solid, crisp, firm and juicy. It will have lots of air in it, like styrofoam.

Sounds like it's time for garlic pickles. Use a little onion, a hot pepper and all the garlic you can lay your hands on. YUMMY!!!
