Few weeks ago a hummer visited my Thalia plant. I ordered 2 feeders that night and waited several days before a hummer found and tested out the feeder.

A couple of days ago, a second hummer showed up and showed me it wanted a feeder with a rest to land on.

I used some thick wire and made a rest bar for the 2nd feeder, also made it a shade, because I hung it a couple feet from my kitchen window. Full sun.

Guess who showed up this morning!?

Resty!

Lol, that's what I named the hummer that likes the resting wire.

Resty only uses this feeder. The others use both.

And late tonight, a male showed up!
3 so far in total!

Here is Resty.

One came back as I was taking a feeder away to wash n refill. It was confused as to where the tree feeder went. Then another came by and both were confused. Lol.
Got it back on the tree.
Got a poor video of the male feeding at the window feeder a little while ago!!!

Seems like there are 3-4 females/movies and the one male, so far!

Aren't they something? I love hummers. You will have the same ones return to your feeders next year Secuono. Like So Lucky said, they even remember where the feeders were hung last year.

They are such remarkable little survivors. One of my cats was stalking one in the garden and I told him if he ever catches one, he'll be pushing up daisy's in the back woods. I mean it sincerely. Those hummers fly thousands of miles every year to return to our garden and no cat is going to make sport of it and finish it's life like that.
I can get a cat any time, but my hummers are like treasure.

I think we have one male and 2 or 3 females. Never see more than one at a time at the feeders. Have not gotten a photo yet.

When my feeder is empty, they dive bomb me as if to say, DO YOUR JOB!
