So far my sister in Houston is safe. Water on a patio was starting to creep to the door and she laid towels and the next morning water still hadn't gotten in. The day before she went to the store as usual and for some reason she said she bought more food than she normally does. Usually she goes to the store twice a week. So she has plenty of water and food and her apartment is 2 story so she felt safe knowing she could always go up. Said she hasn't seen her car yet which is in their carport a little lower than the apartments. She had already planned to move the end of September to Springs to live above my nephew's garage.

Water has not flooded my nephew and niece's homes in Springs.

Friends and relatives of friends (we know them) in Kingwood and Pasadena are OK, no flooding, not even the cars. My wife's cousin's house in Orange is underwater.

My friend with a Daughter in Houston (that thank goodness is high and dry as anyone there) posted this to her face book page.

My daughter is just north-west of Houston, Bastrop. She said they have minor flooding so far, and of course taking in people fleeing Harvey.
