It got to 40F the other day and killed ALL of my tomato and pumpkin plants...
I hate nature...

Time to throw seeds out and hope they grow. Sick of doing hard labor all by myself all the time.
Spent 7+ hours, non-stop, ripping/cutting/digging weeds, thorns, trees and who knows what else just to get some fencing up. Covered in thorns, blood and ticks, so danged tired. Plus, fiance took off work because he was sick..now I'm sick and so danged pissed off at him. We need a separate little house where he lives until he's not sick anymore!!
Just want to sleep for 10 years or something.

that sounds like nature overload in a negative way. we've got a record cold spell blowing through tonight. we'll see how my tomatoes hold up. if they bite the dust, I don't think i'll replant. this is my third plant.
sorry you're both sick. need some good chicken soup.
hope things brighten up real soon

I have to say that there are days I have just like this now and then. We got down in the 30's the other night, somehow most of my started babies survived after I spent hours and day planting them myself. I only lost like 2 out of the 40 I transplanted. I may have lost a few spouts from seeds I put out direct sow, but I'll just throw out more. Last year, I moved out my started tomatoes, a couple of dozen, and I forgot to bring them in one night we had a frost and I lost them all.

My dear husband knows NOTHING about gardening and didn't even bother to ask me if they needed to come in, even though he saw them out. Boooo... so many times I want to strange him. Sadly, he's like my big kid. I just learned to get past it.

That's why we're here. So you can vent and know you're not alone! It'll get better.

:hugs You need a great big HUG! :hugs That sucks about the late frost. I am so sorry all your hard work turned into limp dead plants. Have another hug. :hugs Sorry you are sick and feeling bad. Don't worry about your fianace not working in the garden. My DH has no clue about gardening and I do it all. I also built the chicken coop while he wasn't around, which was Saturdays while he was at work. Then later, I built the run. I bet your fianace has his redeeming virtues, none of which are gardening. ;)

Ahlll that, and then TICKS!

Take a nice LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOONGGG bath.

I mean, so long you have to keep adding hot water.

I mean, use up the WHOLE bottle of shampoo.

Get into the bathtub, and don't get out until you fell asleep in it a bunch of times waking up just to add more hot water, drain some out.

bring some munchies in with you too. Have ALL the biggest towels. Bring a book. yea. Have something for a pillow in the tub. Make sure the house heater is decadently perfect.

You get to do this. After all, you're the girl and you got the ticks. He doesn't get to do the bathtub decadence until he does the chores until he gets the ticks.

There I said it.

Thanks you guys. Went to bed at 8pm and didn't get up until 2pm today, feeling better, but weak. It's a sore throat and they always ruin my week real bad. So can't eat anything without hoping my head will fall off at the shoulders, lol.

Went out and sat in the dirt, noticed two tomatoes made it and 3 pumpkins, they had really started growing after being moved out. Have no more tomato seeds, tossed out peas and w/e else I could find instead...
I need a real rototiller and steal some horse/sheep pasture....
