The short of it.
So much fun!
Western saddles are super heavy.
I haven't forgotten all my lessons from over 10yrs ago.
Western saddles are hard! =0 I need to buy a 'tush cushion'!
I ♡ QHs, why don't I have one??
Did I mention that it was super fun???
:D

The place rescues horse's as well and there was one tall horse with a ♡ on his forehead!

Anyone else been trail riding? :)

I love the heart on the forehead. I have not been trail riding since I was a teen and my friend had horses and ponies. Somehow I always got the pony and no saddle. Bareback is not the way to go. Ouch. Well actually Penny was kind of chubby and not bad to ride. As long as she was not heading home. Closer to home we would get the faster she would go!
So did we all miss your Birthday? Glad it was a great day. :)

With the purple ear covers, they look like devil horns for a kid's Halloween costume. Are those to keep flies out? Never saw them before.

Hahaha, I 'ride' my pony bareback, easy peasy. Soft and nice on my bum, though, I've always worried for his back more.

Those are to keep biting flies out of their ears.

My birthday is the 15th! :)

Looks like the horses need one of Nyboy's new hats. No flies with them!

As Carol said, no trail rides since high school when I often led them for the riding stables I frequented. Of course, there were rides with my Contessa, but those were mostly quiet meanders alone through our 30 acres.

Lol, DH didn't trail ride regular horses like he said, just babysitters.
We were on regular horses, but the place -called- them babysitters, wrong. =/
Not terrible for me to deal with, but DH had extra issues with his mare.b
