I've been digging up two wild flower plants and putting them in pots. Roots are very shallow, one has runners, also very shallow and weak. I won't be able to ID them once flowers are gone, so I've been moving them now.
After care? Just water and shade?
Then I have lots of mixed plants in planters. See my containers thread.
The dirt and soil has sunk and compacted anywhere from a couple of inches to a foot!
I'm wanting to dig them all up, one planter at a time, add tons of rabbit manure, mix, then put the plants back.
Is late autumn the best time to do that?
Now is too hot, winter too cold and/or frozen and spring is all over the place, but technically doable....
