The long branches are what are confusing me. If it was false strawberry I would actually have a spot for it. I don't know what to do with this thing.

Wait. it might be DIFFUSE cinquefoil. Apparently that is more common out west. Off to look for more info :D
heh! it hasn't scared me off my own property yet! i have tons of that stuff i find growing in my yard! and i'm already married so i'm not looking for love anymore, just help around the house when i need it :p

do you mean 3 inches or 3 feet? i believe it to grow about 3 feet here!
