It won't happen. Leastwise not here in WV. We have some of the lowest wages in the nation as it is, so can't see $15 min. wage at all...that's more than some of our coal miners and plant workers make starting out. That's what I made as a nurse after working almost 20 yrs in the profession...ain't happenin' here. Maybe out in LA LA land or NY, but not in hick town WV. ;)

I don't worry about the economy much...I've always flew under the radar of poverty level living and am very content with it. Nothing much changes here for us and we've adapted to it very well. I once saw a thread about how did your life change since 2008? and I had to ask what happened in 2008? I wasn't even aware that anything monumental had happened in 2008...might have happened "out there" but it doesn't touch us much hereabouts.

Never made a blip on our lives here in WV...much like the Depression didn't. :D We were considered poor, we are still considered poor and we are still here to tell about it, eating off the land and living like we always have.

My wife braught home a recipe for German Potato Salad ( provided by the office manager who considers herself a very good cook ) that is to be for her dish to prepare for her all day office meeting for this Thursday. This to to serve 20 people. So, last night, she did a small sample run to see how good it was for our dinner. After tasteing it, :barnie :sick I commented to my wife to prepare a substitute if she wanted to keep her reputation as a source of culinary delight. :smack
Well ... my wife worked her twist of the wrist majic and ... the office folk scarfed up their first portion, then came back for seconds. Three came back for thirds but had to settle for a lump of coal as the pot was empty. ( she always prepares extra servings ) :drool :drool :celebrate My share for my above advice... 3 leftover home made cookies ( that someone else backed ) that she braught home. ;)
