For me it's a nightmare too, how can it be sooooo sweeeeettttt!
if you are raised with sweet cereals it's just a bad habit. when you are very young you can use the extra energy, but as you get older i think it begins to take a toll on your body. it has taken me several years to stop adding a lot of sugar to some things and i do notice the difference in how i feel in the middle of the day on those days i do add more sugar and those days i don't.
