We got our 1st frost last night.
Went out and picked the last of my 'maters and peppers, found a couple of peppers that were hidden that had grown to be quite large.
My friend, that's been buggen me for green tomato to fry, should be happy tomorrow.

Weren't going to give them to him ..

. unless all hope of vine-ripened was lost, Rich?

The last of my green tomatoes "ripened" and were used last week. DW neither peeled them nor ran them through the blender. Dang flavorless, tough-skinned things!

I'm already missing the fresh, homemade soup. I'd better start using the pasta sauce and just forget about it.

That's correct, BUT they would have gotten them even if they had ripened, we don't eat many tomatoes.
