Thingy is a pretty good multi-purpose descriptor - and since that spell-check thingy never kicked in, apparently a real word? Who knew???

Also, a particular Mexican dish I fix has no name, so we just call it "that one Mexican thing"
But now I have started fixing another nameless Mexican thing, so we will call it "that layered Mexican thing"

Thingy is my go to. It's probably some kind of genetic abnormality as my mom used it to describe almost everything. Cruel children that we were, it made us laugh. Now that I have the same dreaded affliction I'm a lot more sympathetic.
