Wow...look at those lateral branches! And the royal pink color!

I'm only used to the leathery leaves of magnolias that shed ALL YEAR LONG, and make big white flowers in the summer.
I think its a loebner decidious. As in it cannot decide to be a magnolia.

There’s several types. This is a big leaf magnolia which is my favorite kind. Sadly we don’t have any at this house.View attachment 39525
That looks open and airy! I could stand for that in the yard. We have a big traditional one (waxy leather leaves, white flowers, seed cones, 60'+) that is so dense zero can grow under it except no light plants like some mosses and ferns.
