We don't use margarine anymore. We use butter for baking, olive oil, butter or peanut oil for frying. Coconut oil for some things.
Pie crust made with butter is a little harder to make than with Crisco, but Jared77 says to use vodka instead of water. I still need to try that.

DW bought some coconut oil.

It's nearly a complete unknown to me but she has been using it.

She has some oil preferences but they are not exotic. I used to like sunflower seed oil but she nixed that years ago. The unknown is why? Peanut oil seldom shows up but that's okay. I have learned how to use sesame seed oil - sparingly, & in combination. Olive oil is always on hand. Grapeseed oil is another unknown.

I would like to use coconut oil more often. But my husband says everything tastes like coconut and he's not fond of it. :rolleyes:

I do use it on my face several times a week at night and as a lotion on my body. :)

@ninnymary too much info.......

I eat butter on things. Fry in vegetable oil. Use Olive oil in eating-dressings, etc.
